I have waited for over a year to buy this thing and finally bit the bullet (thank you Amazon open box!)
First impression is: LOVE!! Why did I wait so long to buy this thing? Well, for a sale, but I absolutely love fresh pasta and was able to make completed fresh pasta within 30 minutes of unboxing this thing. Outside of reading the manual, it would have been ~20 minutes to fresh cooked pasta. Not much longer than boxed and so much better.
It comes with 3 plates, spaghetti, penne (yay my favorite) and lasagna. Perfect.
I read the directions but have to admit…I don’t think you’d need to aside from the buttons.
The whole thing comes apart and puts back together beautifully.
Pick you plate and add it to the front of the machine.
Weigh out the dry ingredients (I used 200 g. of Semolina and 50-ish grams of AP flour)
Weigh out your wet ingredients (95-ish grams of egg and water. I think I’d go a scoche higher next time).
Add your dry ingredients and push the “ON” and tell it whether you’re making a single or double batch (this is a single and it would have fed 4 of us). Hit the “Automatic” button.
Add the wet ingredients. Wait a few minutes (of course humming “The Girl From Ipanema”)
Watch in awe as the pasta comes out and start cutting. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Cook for a few minutes.
Cleanup: again, amazing. I just opened everything up, let it dry overnight and popped the dried bits out.
If you’re a lover of fresh pasta, and lucky enough to be able to afford this, it would definitely be a “recommend”.
