Instant Pot Cheese Grits

Grits made fast and easy in the Instant Pot!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Combine water and grits in Instant Pot. Cook on max pressure for 20 minutes or high pressure for 25 minutes then quick release. Add butter and cream and mix. If there are lumps, use an immersion blender to blend them out. Add more water if grits are too thick. Add cheese and melt and stir.
