Some nights, you just need bread fast. I thought I had part of a loaf to go with our salmon dinner but oops, nope.

FIVE ingredients, and nothing you don’t usually have in the cabinet.

No rise time. Add one 12 oz bottle of beer (I used High Life), 3 cups flour, 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder, and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.

Mix until combined (first with a spoon then with your hands).

Add to a bread pan and pour 1/4 cup melted butter on top.

And bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 50 minutes.

The texture is a bit between bread and a biscuit. Some recipes do have added sugar, but I chose not to because I wanted a more salty bread. This is excellent toasted with butter and marmalade!
