Broccoli Salad

This salad is a classic from the '80 but never gets old. I always get asked for this recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 large crowns of broccoli chopped as above. About 4 cups.
  • 1 cup mayonnaise. I only use Hellman's although I'm told Dukes is the bomb, if it's sweet at all I would not use it for this recipe
  • 1/2 Cup raisins or craisins
  • 1/4 cup finely diced Bermuda onion
  • 10 thinly sliced or 5 thick sliced bacon fried, drained and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar

Instructions

  • Chop broccoli into bite sized pieces. Mix together in a small bowl the mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Add broccoli, raisins, bacon, and onions to a large bowl, and top with dressing. Mix together very well, cover, and chill at least overnight.
