Sourdough Waffles

Ingredients

Overnight sponge

  • 2 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons buttermilk powder
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sourdough starter unfed/discard

Finished Waffles

  • all of the overnight sponge
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Mix overnight sponge ingredients and allow to sit overnight in refrigerator. Mix rest of ingredients and cook in waffle iron.
