I feel embarrassed about posting this as an actual “recipe”. As you can see it’s right on the bottle…
However whenever I make it I always get *asked* for the recipe (and of course I always tell people…it’s right on the bottle). And I was at a very fancy restaurant not too long ago and we ordered some and everyone was raving over it. I’m almost 100 percent sure it was the same recipe (or pretty darn similar) and I told everyone “Do you know how easy this is”. They were shocked.
I’m sure there are other ways to make Key lime pie, but my grandma made it this way. And she lived in Ft. Lauderdale. And my Great-grandparents had a Key lime bush in the yard. Still, this is how she always made it.
Mix a can of sweetened condensed milk with ½ C Nellie and Joe’s Key Lime Juice and 3 egg yolks. This here’s a triple batch.
Pour into graham cracker crust (if you’re feeling ambitious you can make your own. It’s good with nuts in it).
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Chill and serve with whipped cream.
YUM.
ps they’re not lying when they say it’s awesome in cocktails.
