OR! Sandwich spread. Either way.
I am not a fan of pre-made salad dressings. For some reason they almost never taste good, and fresh to me. I feel it is completely worth the effort to make your own. I mean…it’s the star of the salad! OR the sandwich!
I whipped this up to serve on sandwiches.
The spices are onion powder, granulated garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper and MSG. I get it…MSG. O M Gosh. But nearly every commercially prepared salad dressing does have MSG.
Mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet relish, diced onion, spices and dried red and green peppers. These are VERY handy to have around and add a great flavor to all sorts of things (meatloaf, sloppy joes, salad dressings…)
And put in jar. These jar lids are very handy to have around.
I whipped this up, and tasted it and it knocked my socks off. I made Aaron taste it, and he was blown away as well. This is literally the most flavorful thousand island dressing I have *ever* tasted. Totally worth the effort!! And even more amazing after sitting overnight.
I’m literally going to make up recipes to use this stuff. It’s that good.
