I feel so Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade when I make this. Although I have to admit to secretly loving that show (especially the Halloween specials). Favorite part? Cocktail with every meal. My kinda gal.
Yes it’s easy but yes it’s very fresh tasting with the sour cream and fresh garlic. Add to a wedge of iceburg and you’ve got yourself a fresh salad.
First, mix about a cup of sour cream (light is fine) with 2 T dried Hidden Valley Ranch mix, 1 t. black pepper, 1 clove crushed garlic, and about 3/4 C crumbled blue cheese.

I try to really moosh the blue cheese into the sour cream (some of it) and leave some chunks.

It will be very thick. Add about 1/2 C buttermilk (to your desired thickness really) and mix until combined.

Refrigerate. This is better after letting sit for several hours. Drizzle over iceburg lettuce.
