This is like a 70’s classic but it’s still delicious and so simple. When I make a batch it doesn’t last long in our house!
For this recipe I used Hormel dried beef. You could also use Armour dried beef, it’s pretty comparable. I would not use Buddig chipped beef, it’s far less flavorful and that will impact the flavor of the dip.
Rinse the dried beef and add it to cream cheese, sour cream, a good quality soy sauce and green onions and mix.
And serve with crackers or pretzels. It’s a classic.
Dried Beef Dip
- 1 8 oz block cream cheese warmed in microwave until slight soft
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 2.4 ounce can dried beef rinsed, drained and chopped
- 1 teaspoon high quality soy sauce
- 3 green onions chopped
- Combine ingredients. If you soy sauce is the thin kind, you may need to add more. Refrigerate for one hour until chilled.
